
It was really fun to introduce our members to Pilates Mat with HYP Studios in June! Members joined us in the studio or virtually, and we all felt challenged by our instructor, Opal. Pilates mat is a form of Pilates exercise that’s performed on a mat, as opposed to specialized equipment like a “reformer.” It focuses on building core strength, flexibility, and body control through a series of controlled movements. It’s a really good starting point for beginners and is appropriate for all fitness levels.
