Board-certified Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine
The core of my practice as a primary care doctor is building a true partnership with my patients. I appreciate having the time to understand their health journeys, personal values, and long-term goals. The model at Olive Tree Medical provides the unhurried space needed to foster this teamwork, ensuring that my patients feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I consider myself a true local. I grew up in Wellesley and currently live in Newton with my husband and three kids. During my undergraduate years at Boston College, majoring in psychology sparked my interest in human behavior and its direct connection to overall health. This interest deepened at UMass Chan Medical School where the seed was planted for my journey into primary care. My internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center included a year in the role of primary care chief resident, during which I was able to deepen my knowledge of primary care topics while gaining experience with teaching.
Over my twenty years of practicing medicine, I have cared for adults at all stages of life. My interest in Lifestyle Medicine was ignited while practicing primary care at the Boston VA Healthcare System. Working closely with a diverse group of patients, I saw firsthand how choices in areas such as nutrition, exercise, and sleep impact overall health.
Since becoming board-certified in internal medicine, I have engaged in multiple opportunities to expand my expertise. In 2021, I earned my second board certification in Lifestyle Medicine, which provides me with a framework to help patients make sustainable behavior changes. In 2024, I became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner to deepen my knowledge of women’s health in mid-life. I also recently completed coursework to become a Pelvic Health Certified Clinician.
On a personal level, a diagnosis of breast cancer in 2020 granted me the opportunity to not only talk-the-talk but walk-the-walk. Since my diagnosis, I have set goals in areas of nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, and sleep to help improve my survivorship and prevent recurrence. As part of my journey, in 2026 I am participating in my first Pan Mass Challenge as movement, to me, is very much a form of medicine. Another passion of mine is culinary medicine, blending the art of cooking with the science of medicine. I’m always looking for new plant-based recipes that both improve health AND show my family that vegetables are delicious! Meditation and mindfulness are additional areas of interest that I look forward to sharing with my patients. I am thrilled to bring my passion and expertise to Olive Tree Medical.
