Community Event: Walk with a Doc Every Friday in April, May, and June!

June 26 @ 8:45 am 9:45 am

Our walks are free and open to everyone who would like to join us, and we will be walking every Friday morning at 8:45am in April, May and June! We will discuss a new health topic for a few minutes, featuring a variety of special guests and our own team, and then take a 40-45 minute walk along the Fuller Brook Path. It’s a beautiful, flat, cleared trail. Meet up down the street from the Wellesley Whole Foods, next to the High School Track/Football Field in the parking lot (Google map location is here) at the Map House. If you have trouble parking in the small lot, we’ve heard that Whole Foods customers are welcome to park in their nearby lot.

The 20-year-old Walk with a Doc movement has hundreds of chapters around the world. These doctor-led walking groups are safe, fun, and free community events where participants learn about a health topic from a healthcare professional, take a walk (or roll) at their own pace, and meet new people.

Some of our upcoming health topics and guest speakers are:

April 3: Josh Kaplan of Enphysion Health
April 10: Public Health Awareness Week, Wellesley Health Department Nurses/Vaccines: How they work, why we need them and vaccines most adults need.
April 17: OTM/Nutrition
April 24: OTM/Movement
May 1: OTM/Rest
May 8: Hannah Carlozzi of Your Family Table Nutrition: Fiber
May 15: OTM/Cancer prevention
May 22: Meaghan White of My Physical Therapy
May 29: OTM/Building Healthy Habits
June 5: Hannah Carlozzi of Your Family Table Nutrition: Power of Plants
June 12: OTM/Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine
June 19: OTM/Importance of Community
